The Little Mermaid Live! was live stage production of a musical by ABC, to celebrate the Disney animated movie’s 30th anniversary, which came out in 1989.
Auli’i Cravalho played the title mermaid Ariel. If she seems familiar, that’s because she was the voice actress of Moana, another Disney princess! This time, she rocked the stage with red eyebrows and red hair.
The rest of the cast included Queen Latifah as Ursula, and John Stamos as the Chef.

If you didn’t manage to catch the show on ABC, you can now watch it on Disney’s recently-released streaming platform, Disney+.
In fact, you could do a Little Mermaid marathon on Disney+, since they also have The Little Mermaid, The Little Mermaid II: Return To The Sea, The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning, and the television series, entitled The Little Mermaid.
Meanwhile, we’ll be waiting for the new The Little Mermaid live action movie to come out in cinemas, starring Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy.
